Biotechnology; Biological Oceanography; Fibre-Opitcs; Fine Arts (Painting Sculpture) Laser Tech; Microprocessor Application/Tech; Opto-Electronics; Management studies, Earthquake Engineering, Quality and Reliability Engg (as applied to Electricity and power , Railway, Heavy Industry, Heavy Electrical, Electronics and Communication etc.); Remote Sensing; Robotics; Ship-Building, Fisheries, Japanese Lang & Litt and Japanese Studies.
            

Eligibility

Indian nationals residing in India. Age below 35 yrs. Qualifications for Ship Building and Japanese Language & Literature: Bachelor's degree in the subject/related field. Fine Arts: Bachelor's degree/diploma in Fine Arts. For other Subjects Master's degree in the subject. Candidates who have secured 60% marks at the qualifying exam are eligible. Experience:2 yrs consecutive practical/research/teaching experience after obtaining the prescribed qualification except for Fine Arts and Japanese Language & Literature. Additional Requirements: Adequate knowledge of geography, culture and heritage of Japan; 2 yrs consecutive stay in India after return from abroad for study/training.
                  

Value

Maintenance allowance to be paid by Government of Japan which covers study allowance, fee, part payment of medical expenses, accommodation etc.
            

Passage Cost

Return air ticket is provided by the Japanese Government.
               

Application Procedure

Typed application with attested copies of testimonials, photograph, programme of study/research and other documents may be submitted on plain paper (as per notified format) by prescribed date. Employed candidates are required to send applications through their employers.
