PROMOTION

In the government sector, promotion depends on the vacancies available and the number of years of service put by the individual-for instance:

A production assistant is promoted to junior grade producer after seven years.
An editor requires five years of service to rise to senior editor.
An assistant engineer becomes a maintenance engineer after eight years of service.
