FINE ARTS
Courses are offered at the certificate, diploma and degree level. The duration of these courses varies from one to seven years. Among the more prominent are:
The Delhi College of Art offers a four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and also a two-year Master of Arts (MFA). The eligibility for the BFA programme is 10+2 and selection is made by means of an entrance test. To be eligible for the MFA the candidate should have completed a BFA.
The Faculty of Fine Arts, MS University of Baroda offers a four-year BFA and also a two-year MFA course. To be eligible to apply for the course a candidate should have finished Class 12. Apart from the mentioned courses the faculty also offers a large number of other courses in
sculpture, painting and drawing.
The J.J. School of Art offers a BFA of four years. Selection
is made on the basis of a test.
COMMERCIAL ART
Training is available in various schools, colleges and other institutions. The duration of certificate diploma courses varies from one year to five years. The Delhi College of Art and the J.J. School of Art offer a four-year course in commercial art. Eligibility for the course is 10+2. Selection is on the basis of an entrance exam.
