Work
Work begins when raw leather is received and identified for its usage. Designers then have to examine the type of leather and assess how it will be stylized in the sketch the pattern is then made according to the cuts to be given for the particular style, and production starts in the factories
where production managers are in charge of supervising the process. Finished goods are taken to the market, and here it is the responsibility of the sales and export division. Marketing executives also co-ordinate between the buyers and the factory.

The major tasks performed in the leather industry, as already mentioned, Design, Manufacture and Marketing.
DESIGNERS
Are in charge of stylizing the leather products. They prepare rough sketches, make out patterns and decide on the number of cuts, which are to be given for the particular style. This is followed by grading and sample making. Designers have to keep in mind the demand and trends in the market and design their products accordingly.
MANUFACTURE
Of leather products begins in the tanneries and leather factories, where raw hides are processed. Production managers supervise the working out and management of production flow systems and ensure the smooth functioning of the manufacturing process, including the operators and equipment.
MARKETING
Involves co-ordination between factories and buyers by the marketing executives. These executives ensure the availability of ready buyers for the products, nationally as well as internationally.
