TRAINING
RESERVE BANK OF INDIA AND REGIONAL RESERVE BANKS, STATE
BANK OF INDIA AND ASSOCIATE BANKS, NATIONALISED BANKS:
All banks within the national banking structure have respectively established training colleges that conduct compulsory one-month orientation courses for new recruits Probationers are taught banking procedure in preparation for their first posting. Practical training continues on the job
throughout the probationary period. Bank training colleges also conduct courses in executive development; branch management; and agricultural banking for their employees.
FOREIGN BANKS:
All new recruits in foreign banks undergo a three-week orientation course before they undergo the in house training at the bank.
Institutions
Besides on-the job training, it is possible to take banking as a specialist subject at some institutions, prior to applying for Banking a position in a bank. Some of these institutions are:
