Air travel has grown and will continue to grow in leaps and bounds in this country. The entry of private airlines has opened avenues of employment for a number of trained professionals. The government policy to permit landing rights to international airlines has also seen international airlines setting up offices in India, or teaming up on joint collaborations with Indian partners. 

The years ahead can therefore only mean increased jobs for personnel in all specialized areas of air travel. The demand is most acute for pilots, where the cost and period of training is a restraining factor. However, the increasing remuneration levels for pilots should make this profession a worthwhile investment.
