The main careers in the aviation sectors can be categorized into:

GROUND PERSONNEL

Which includes air traffic control personnel, aerodrome personnel, cargo and aircraft maintenance personnel, those in ticketing and reservations as also those in administrative functions such as finance, marketing, public relations, etc.

FLIGHT PERSONNEL 

Include the cockpit crew-pilot, co-pilot, flight engineer and navigator (now less and less aircraft use navigators); and the cabin crew-air hostesses and flight attendants.
